It’s the day after the Democratic National Convention and I must say that I feel like a good American! Last week, I took the time and watched the Republican convention held in Tampa and this week I eagerly watched the Democrats in Charlotte.
The economy, jobs and health care are all very critical issues, but hey you gotta look good when you tell the American people how you’ll fix the country’s woes. So as I watched the speakers, I couldn’t help but notice their fashion choices. After all, I’m Coco Michelle and I notice these things!
As always, unless there is some great faux pas, the men’s fashion choices are pretty standard and predictable. When wearing a business suit, neckties are a man’s primary way of displaying his own individual style. Unless of course he’s on an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
On the other hand, I noticed that the Republican women tended to play it a little safer. They were more covered up and most likely to wear pearls. The lady Democrats were slightly more daring. The women were more willing to show some upper arm action and sported the fiercest shoes.
Here are some photos from both conventions….
President Obama’s “conservative” blue necktie was complimentary to his graying hair and navy blue suit.
Mitt Romney’s republican red necktie was predictable but statesman-like. They always say to wear red when you’re asking for a job…
FLOTUS and Mom-In-Chief, Michelle Obama’s star appeal was apparent. Her hair and understated accessories were pure perfection.
Ann Romney played it safe by wearing red but looked very poised and polished. I liked the gold accessories.
The Republican couple. Again, Mrs. Romney is wearing gold accessories. The broach was a little old-fashioned (not in a good way). Blue was a good color for her (no pun intended).
The POTUS and FLOTUS. Again, Mrs. Obama’s hair was awesome and her dress choice was impeccable.
Other convention speakers included the always well-dressed and age-defying Nancy Pelosi (D):
Tammy Duckworth was courageous and gorgeous in patriotic red and blue!
And Utah’s congressional candidate, Mia Love(R) sported a pearl earrings and necklace set.

Everything is very open with a very clear explanation of the
issues. It was really informative. Your website is very helpful.
